We are planning our first Cyber Security Awareness day near the end of October. We are going to be playing our videos, promoting our web site, and having speaker presentations throughout the day. We also wanted to give out fliers and pamphlets and maybe some pens, coasters, etc., however, our budget is not that large and our expenses are adding up quickly. We are wondering how much "stuff" we really need. We have 25,000 students and 3,000 employees, granted everyone will not be attending, but what's a good number of handouts and give-a ways to have. Also, what are other schools using for give-a ways? We welcome any ideas or suggestions that you have! The resource kit information is very useful. Doesn't Educause promote October as "Security Awareness Month" for
higher ed? We are putting together a schedule for the entire month. Is that overkill? I'm wondering what others are doing.

We will be observing the November date here on campus, as are many businesses in the Kansas City area. You can read more about it and
even
obtain a free awareness poster at http://www.computersecurityday.org/. I've searched everyplace I can think of and while lots if institutions declare a week or month for security awareness for themselves, I can't find a common or national one. Thanks for your help.
