Why to use WPA2 (whenever possible) rather than WPA WiFi mode -- 2 researchers (Erik Mews/TU-Darmstadt and Martin Beck/TU-Dresden) will demonstrate a method they discovered to crack WPA wireless traffic from a router (access point?) to a PC in approximately twelve (12) to fifteen (15) minutes by exploiting a TKIP key vulnerability (described as a "mathematical breakthrough) and tricking the wireless "router" into sending a large amount of traffic which is used to break the TKIP key. No dictionary attack is used. Network World: Once thought safe, WPA Wi-Fi encryption is cracked http://www.networkworld.com/news/2008/110608-once-thought-safe-wpa-wi-fi.html Morrow
