To be clear: music played off an iPod isn't transferred to the PC by
default. In fact, until recently, you couldn't transfer music off the
iPod via iTunes, period. Now you can do so only if you 1) Purchased the
music via iTunes and 2) Use the destination PC as one of your 5 'seats'.

It sounds like she want to have iTunes so that she can easily rearrange
the playlists that are already on her iPod.

Subject: [SECURITY] Downloading music at work

I have a faculty member that teaches dance and wants to download iTunes
to an institutional PC to add and rearrange music for their dance class.
(She uses and iPod) If the music is purchased on their personal account
and then transferred to a PC that is owned by the institution, is this
copyright infringement?

Has anyone else faced this issue and what did you do?

Thank you,

Todd
