Thank you for your responses. (Kevin, Carolann, Barbara, Scott, Ken, and Joel..and anybody else I might have missed) It appears everyone is in agreement that network account credentials belong solely to the student and should remain as such. Do you have a policy (or awareness medium) which specifically addresses the scope of FERPA to specifically exclude electronic credentials? Todd A. If a student has signed an "Authorization to Release Student Information" to a parent, what are your policies concerning the disclosure of a student's login & password to allow that parent access to that student's electronic student records or other accounts?
