is there a gnu freely available APOP server for linux, and Solaris2.x.x ??? if so does anyone know a reliable url to try it out. Also is netscape 4.x and Eudora 3.xx compliant to APOP server standard?
I'm not sure about it's GNUness, but qpopper 2.53 is available and in package form. This package contains four seperate servers, a normal inetd run server, a stand alone server and both a normal and standalone which support the APOP authentication protocol. The installer of the package will have to choose which one they wish to run. SPARC and x86 at: http://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/packages/solaris/sparc/ Cheers, Mark mark () zang com mark () sunsite unc edu
