RE: Dialog on Microsoft's Proxy server?

I tried to start a thread on this a little while ago, got 2 serious
responses along with a bunch of religeous debate.  Maybe I can try again -
here's what I'm interested in:

1) Any security-related gotchas with Proxy Server
2) Comparison of functional differences between PS and other solutions

I am NOT interested (nor is Marcus) in discussing religeous issues.  I'm
fully aware of the open vs. closed source debate, and the crystal vs. black
box models.  However, I think that should be taken to
alt.open-source.advocacy (assuming it exists), since I don't want to debate
that here.
