True, before I read Mitnick's book I knew about social engineering.  The 
book provided great examples and was a good refresher though.

That aside, could there be non-practitioners attending the conference? 
Wouldn't it be a good result for a CIO to walk away troubled by an 
example given by a Mitnick?  Delivery by someone so infamous could carry 
more weight...
