i don't know anything about centericq.  i don't even know if it supports
jabber, or if it's just an "icq" client.

AFAIK,it has quite full support for Yahoo!,AIM,IRC, Jabber and,
of course,ICQ.
Bitlbee(IRC proxy to connect to ICQ,AOL,MSN and Jabber)is a bit overkill as
a Jabber client,but it might be of interest to someone.
