Shout out to data recovery folks. Via GCN.com. [snip] The National Archives and Records Administration wants to hire someone to help restore and recover data from computers that were damaged during Hurricane Katrina. In a recent solicitation, NARA said the winner of the firm, fixed-price contract will recover data from 40 computers in New Orleanssix from the Orleans Parish Coroners Office and 34 from the District Attorneys Office. The computers have been exposed to flood waters, mold, mud and, possibly, sewage or petrochemicals, NARA said.
