Can anyone suggest a use for all these wristwatches? On Fri, 16 Jun 2006 Blanchard_Michael () emc com wrote:
I have a drawer full of watches too, I guess people noticed the same thing and figured the same as well. I finally had to announce during one family gathering that I don't wear watches and that they'd kindly stop buying them for me for gifts. My sock drawer isn't nearly as organized as yours though! A couple pair of black socks somewhere on the bottom (haven't been seen in a looong time), amongst a pile of white socks. Michael P. I bought twelve pair of identical black socks a couple years ago for the same reason -- I just randomly grabbed socks (in the dark) out of my drawer and figured that whatever came out was close enough if they were the same shade as observed by the red LED of the alarm clock. (Back then I got up at 4:30 and wife not until 6:00. Now we both get up at 5:00 and I turn the light on. And I have three colors now. White on the far left, black on the far right, and tan in the middle, lined up perpendicular to the others. And I have somewhere around twelve watches, because people keep observing that I don't wear a watch, determining that I must therefore need one, and using it for the next gift giving occasion. I remove the battery, and stick it in the drawer with all the others. (A couple of them are REALLY nice watches! Maybe someday my grandchildren will enjoy them.) _-_ gar
