My question: Can a unique ID number be read on the sly from a Nissan key fob by someone who has the right kind of reader unit?
If it is as simple as a unique ID number, yes, of course. Whatever the reader in a car can do, a similar reader *not* in a car can also do. Obtaining such a reader may be a bit difficult, but not more difficult than buying a car and dissecting it. :-) /~\ The ASCII der Mouse \ / Ribbon Campaign X Against HTML mouse () rodents montreal qc ca / \ Email! 7D C8 61 52 5D E7 2D 39 4E F1 31 3E E8 B3 27 4B _______________________________________________ privacy mailing list privacy () whitestar linuxbox org http://www.whitestar.linuxbox.org/mailman/listinfo/privacy
