This is totally unbelievable. DHS is knowingly going with an RFID technology that is insecure and clonable by the bad guys. What is the DHS thinking?
We've known since DHS was set up what they were thinking - it's an amazing combination of 37 herbs and spices^W^W^Wdifferent federal agencies, and their mandate is to *look* like we're doing something about security, rather than provide *actual* security. Providing *actual* security is both (a) too complicated for that agency and (b) would throw a major harpoon into the Administration's attempts to play the terror card to justify any actions they want to take.
