The Wi-Fi compatible feature provides for seamless incorporation into other wireless infrastructure and devices, including handheld monitoring units for corrections officers. The new system also features a rapid on/off inmate wrist transmitter with a rechargeable battery configuration. According to Greg M. Oester, president for Alanco, the 2.4GHz system is actually aimed at international markets where that frequency is generally unrestricted. But the system is also ideal for densely populated urban jails that can effectively use advanced Wi-Fi communication networks. _______________________________________________ privacy mailing list privacy () whitestar linuxbox org http://www.whitestar.linuxbox.org/mailman/listinfo/privacy
