So you think interpreted languages would be impossible with a Harvard

And compilers.  As far as I know, there were only four HA machines ever built, 
and that was before high level languages existed.

Binary programs would not be able to branch based on data? 

Not certain about that.  I don't think anything in HA would prevent interactivity, 
but certainly nothing input would be submitted to the program store, and therefore 
could nto be executed.
