Gadi and I were chatting earlier about great NPR shows, etc.

One of my favorites is "This American Life", and I also dig "Radio
Lab" --
bot of which run during the weekend, when most people are not
listening to
NPR.

"The American Life" is perhaps one of the best damned radio shows in
existence, and "Radio Lab" is not too shabby.

Just an FYI -- both are freely available on the Web:

http://www.wnyc.org/shows/radiolab/

Explore.

Here's a hearty second on This American Life. And if you listen to the
podcast, throw 'em a few bucks, will you? Their annual b/w costs are
in excess of $100k.

Speaking of money, if you are trying to make sense of the current
financial crisis in the US, try the Planet Money show on NPR http://www.npr.org/blogs/money/
It tried to break things down simple enough that you don't need an
economics degree to figure out what's happening. The downside is if
you are like me, the more you listen the more angry you will become. :(
