COMM CENTER PARKING: DESIGNED TO PREVENT TERRORISM? San Francisco Chronicle columnists Phillip Matier and Andrew Ross today had a laugh at the expense of San Francisco's Emergency Communications Department for its innovative bid to have the Board of Supervisors set aside 20 additional employee parking spaces in front of the 9-1-1 center. The Department told the Board that the cars parked in the spaces would add an additional layer of protection from a terrorist attack or bombing, prompting one supervisor to remark, "Talk about limp and lame."
