Shen Weibiao, a 32-year-old former manager of a Bank of China branch in Shaoguan city, Guangdong, was executed on Saturday after the Supreme People's Court rejected his appeal, the Beijing Youth Daily and other newspapers reported. Shen and a subordinate were found guilty of using the bank's computer system to divert money for their own use and to falsify records. Shen was arrested in 1996 but his suspected co-conspirator remains at large, the reports said. Shen reportedly told judges he spent most of the money he took on stock market investments and entertainment. The means of execution was not given. Most executions in the mainland are done by gunshot. *-------------------------------------------------* "Communications without intelligence is noise; Intelligence without communications is irrelevant."
