Frankly, I'd rather have tons of OC-3 to diverse backbones, but my point is that not everyone wants to multihome.
That's what the people who killed A6 said, too. However, there's this other question: how many more people would multihome if it weren't so difficult to get portable address space? (Hint: see *.COM.)
