It is always amusing to see people allude to the end-to-end principle to support their arguments, when in fact the

LISP gains value as more of the edge is incorporated into the system.  This doesn't mean it has no value during 
intermediate stages of deployment.

There are cogent arguments to be made against LISP and LISP-like systems.  But none of those arguments have been raised 
in this thread, so far.
