Hi Lazlo,

Who are you to tell me how I must or must not use this new technology?
I will use it if I please and as I please. Your (and Lorenzo's)
arguments that I must not do stateful address assignment do not please
me and do not engender me to implement or support your variant of the
new technology.

You are, of course, welcome to tell me I'm not important enough for
you to care. Should you do so, don't expect more than disdain the next
time you express frustration with the technology's rate of uptake.

I think what Lorenzo is trying to do is to use his
influence/position to forcefully prevent people from doing this,
and while that may not be the most diplomatic way, I admire his
courage in posting here and trying to reason with the mob.

Hopefully he learned in this escapade that no one, NO ONE, has
sufficient position nor influence nor, ultimately, sufficient wisdom
to dictate how a technology is to be used. Having offered our
respective suggestions, we can but listen as prospective users tell us
what additional capabilities they require.

Regards,
Bill Herrin
