You were a unprivileged user on OS X but root on Backtrack. That explains the OS fingerprinting and traceroute in backtrack. Also, what are you specifying '--script='? Are you trying not to script scan? You can replace -A with "-sV -O --traceroute" so that Nmap won't perform a script scan.
