Did anyone have a chance to test this script? According to
Wikipedia [1] most Apple routers, OpenWRT and Linksys should support
the protocol. There's also a natpmp daemon that I've tested it
against available over here [2]

I tested it against my Linksys WRT-310N WAP, but the device doesn't
respond to the probes. I don't think it supports NAT-PMP at all. The
only places where the Wikipedia article mentions Linksys is with
regard to the "Tomato" and "Atrifa" firmware, which are actually 3rd
party Linux firmware like OpenWRT. Hopefully someone here with an
Apple Airport or OpenWRT or or other NAT-PMP-supporting device will
test it out, as it does sound like useful functionality!

My WRT-310N does support UPnP though. Maybe that can be used for
something similar? It even supports "allow users to configure" using
UPnP. Here is what upnp-info gives me now:

1900/udp open upnp
| upnp-info: POSIX UPnP/1.0 linux/5.20.61.0
| Location: http://192.168.0.6:1780/WFADevice.xml
| Name: WFADevice
| Manufacturer: Linksys Inc.
| Model Descr: Wireless Device
| Model Name: WPS
