Goto freshmeat.net and search for 'hotline', I got 9 matches, just grab the
source code for hx (a console client), I think the other gui clients are
pretty much based on this, there's a java implementation also.

since this is an unpublished protocol, some things may not work, yadda yadda..

aside, did you actually try to look for any of this information?
it's not hard to find at all, you just have to *look*

i'm sorry, but posting something that can be answered after 40 seconds at
google is just silly.
