Snort with Mysql

Hi,

I'm trying to use a new released version of snort, i.e. snort-1.8.1-RELEASE
and mysql of 2.23.41. The compilation seems ok but I could not start the
snort. When I run "snort -c snortrules", it gives me the following error
message:

     database: mysql_error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through
socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
