Ok..I found it[1].

According to the DEMARC Client documentation it should run backgrounded
but you achieve that through the shell (ie demarc_c.pl&). This makes it 
easy for us to adapt it to daemontools.

Edit /service/demarc_client/run according to:

#! /bin/sh
exec demarc_c.pl
