Hi Ed,

it seems you are missing the classification.config file, either not installed or
not mentioned in snort.conf. If you are using the current ruleset use the
classification.config from the tarball, point to it in snort.conf like

include /etc/snort/rules/classification.config

and restart snort. This should solve your problem.
