There is a very simple reason for this.  Alerts do not contain enough
information to fill in anything more than src/dest ip and src/dest port
(or icmp type/code).

It should not get sent to the mysql db except in the case where there is
not already a sensor id index in the database.  Or am i missing what you
are asking?
