Short of just waiting for someone to scan your network, the easiest
way it to go to someplace like www.nessus.org and install that. It
runs as a server app on a Linux box. There is a Windows Client that
works pretty well or you can just stay with the Linux client. Once
that is installed, you then scan your sensor. It should rack up
several hundred hits. If you are REALLY feeling frisky (and
confident), you can enable the "attack" or "dangerous" rules and
actually run an attack against your network. I wouldn't do this
unless I was absolutely sure of my security, however.
