Thanks Guy ... but I'm a little confused. I just looked down at http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idmr-pim-spec-02 section 4.2, "PIM Fixed Header" and the PIM Ver field indicates "Pim Version number is 2." Section 5 of http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-idmr-pim-dm-spec-03 also indicates the same. Did they bump the version in the draft before PIM became a published RFC ... or is there still some other draft out there where "Pim Version number is 1."?
They might've been in the middle of redoing the protocol from V1 to V2, and not yet given it its own IP protocol number. ftp://ftp.usc.edu/pub/csinfo/tech-reports/papers/95-599.ps.Z appears to be the original PIM v1 spec - I've updated the dissector. (gunzip can uncompress the old "compress" format.) ___________________________________________________________________________ Sent via: Wireshark-dev mailing list <wireshark-dev () wireshark org> Archives: http://www.wireshark.org/lists/wireshark-dev Unsubscribe: https://wireshark.org/mailman/options/wireshark-dev mailto:wireshark-dev-request () wireshark org?subject=unsubscribe
