I tried that but it didn't work for me. Are you able to?

Yes, but it depends on the application being pasted into. For
example,
I can copy DXDragon's name out of Firefox and into Thunderbird just
fine
but I can't paste it into a GNOME terminal (which actually I find
surprising: I thought I could do that before. Oh, maybe that's at
home
where I have a much newer version of Fedora.) Pasting into gedit
works
fine, too. (Obviously this is all on Linux.)

I was able to paste from Firefox to vim via Terminal.app on OS X, but
more luck than skill was involved.

Now it displays as follows for me:
????? ???????? <DXDragon [AT] yandex.ru>
