In-Reply-To: <20040206172331.64473.qmail () web10805 mail yahoo com> Creating a security policy prohibiting such activity followed by locking down the workstation to prevent users from installing unauthroized software is probably the best option. If you simply want to prevent users from using chat programs, then the next option is to block certain ports and IP addresses at the network boundary. While users will still be able to download these programs, they will not be able to make a connection and chat. There are proxy servers such as Bluecoat that will disable chat communications. Blocking access at the firewall is a good idea as well. Here's a link on how to block the most popular user chat programs at the firewall: http://www.ec11.dial.pipex.com/port-filter.shtml The list of IP addresses changes, but if you keep up with the changes it is a fairly effective solution.
Hi Guys... I am loooking for an software that can control chat software on client machine....
