If you want to do RPC via email why not just skip straight to TCP over email and that way you can do it securely (i.e. IPSec/SSL/whatever).
http://www.detached.net/mailtunnel/desc.htmlOr just use a web based shell, that way all you need is a web browser, which should be doable.
