You may find NeVO from my company Tenable interesting if you want passive vulnerability scanning. It can run on your Snort or Dragon sensors, your dedicated Nessus scanner or a dedicated Linux or FreeBSD server. It saves its reports in a Nessus compatible format and is updated with new vulnerability signatures on a regular basis.
