This makes me very glad my phones aren't "smart" enough to do that.
(Well, the ones I use, at least.)  That sort of intrusiveness is one of
the few things that would make me drop my service entirely, despite how
useful it's been.  (Indeed, I nearly dropped my service a few years
back over my provider SMSing ads for themselves to me.  We got all the
way through the "shut down service" script when they asked if there
were any way I'd consider keeping it, which was the opening to
negotiate.)
