Anyone remember Friday 13, October 1989? That was pretty exciting, what
with Jerusalem, Datacrime and Columbus Day.

Yes, the total still seems to be 13. Amazing!

However, don't Brits write dates backwards, ie. 13-10-2006?

The world should really standardize of the 2006-10-13 format so that dates
are like times with the units going from big to small. If one also uses
leading zero (eg., 2006-01-02), then date strings are alphabetically
sortable.

Darn! *Where* have I seen that before?

Whichever way round the date is written - 13-10-2006 or 2006-10-13 - the
total comes out to 13

What if I write it as 10-13-2006, does it still add up to 13?
