Yes, but "you Americans" are used to hate things because you fear what
it may be used for. These things also have legitimate uses.

Well, I speak only for myself, and although I am an American, I'd
like to again articulate that acquiescing to legal/lawful intercept
is one thing (and one which I do not have a problem with, by the
way), but bypassing the legal process is another thing altogether
(e.g. illegal).
