How about the innocent fact that is ignored. You talk about all the
American life lost. What about the 60,000+ Iraqis that have died as a
result of this war. You like those stats? Yup to the day 60,000+ people
have died because of these "full/half-truths" and that is the real truth.
This is a very conservitave estimate too. More will die today, tomorrow,
next week and on and on until we stop the war.

Your statement of "fact" is that the United States, and their allies,
have killed 60k Iraqis?

That is, in the least, an ignorant statement.

People are getting tortured,
but those are the "bad" people right?

Right. And the people that are getting "tortured" by us are not
getting tortured like, for instance, Iraqi soccer players under
Saddam's son.

Seems that I recall many instances
where Bush and company can't even come up with real charges for these people
they have captured.

Perhaps being an "enemy combatant" makes the charge self explanatory
to most? I get it.

On the cig smoking front, that is a chosen act. for
the iraqi's living is a necessity. Dying in somebody else's ill advised
war, that is tragedy. I try to stay out of these flame wars but to ignore
the loss of life on both sides is a very narrow way to think.

A narrow way to think is to forget the Iraqis we abandoned when we
didn't help them overthrow Saddam the first time. A narrow way of
thinking is that us ending the war now will prevent the killings
currently being plotted by crazed lunatics will not happen - as
opposed to turning into genocide such as it has in other countries
infiltrated by muslim extremists. One might suggest that if there are
60k Iraqis dead (and I highly doubt that number - as would any
reasonable person, if for no other reason than the lack of records to
indicate such) they were mostly killed by the insurgents and opposing
"tribes" (religious sects?). Further, whats the count, so far, of
those buried in mass graves after the various massacres carried out by
Saddam?

Finally, this isn't a flame war until you start flaming. If one is
incapable of having an intelligent argument I would suggest one stay
out of it - or in this case, not make an inflammatory, off-topic post
in the first place.
