WASHINGTON (Thomson Financial) - US Internet search engines in China were being hijacked and directed to Chinese-owned Baidu, analysts said Wednesday, speculating that this may be retaliation for the White House award to exiled Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama.
Isn't it far more likely that this is mainly done for commercial gain, and not for censorship purposes? Surely, search traffic is as valuable in China as in the U.S. _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
