Hi,

The 600 ton elephant in the room is anyone could right now sit down
and design and deploy some alternative to IPv4/IPv6 and from there
begin writing down how they did it as a series of standards documents
and encourage others to give it a try hoping for some snowball effect.

Isn't that how 6RD (RFC5969) was created?

Thanks,

Sabri

One could use a similar approach tho probably an entire routing
infrastructure would also need to be simulated. It wouldn't just be
sneaking a packet from here to there, it would be the emulation of an
entire network most likely. Hard to say w/o a design spec :-)

But at the end of the day it's just bits.
