There are also lots of real life examples from each of the well known hardware manufacturers, where the well-known manufacturer does not even design or build their own equipment. Several of them contract with other lessor-known manufacturers, over-seas companies, etc, to produce a product they can take to market. Also known as OEM (Original Equipment Maker, I think....). Radio Shack did that for years, as did _many_ others.
Including 3Com, Bay (Nortel), Cabletron, Cisco, SMC, Net Gear (Nortel), etc, etc. _______________________________________________ Snort-users mailing list Snort-users () lists sourceforge net Go to this URL to change user options or unsubscribe: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/snort-users Snort-users list archive: http://www.geocrawler.com/redir-sf.php3?list=snort-users
