Hi Jack Wednesday, December 3, 2003, 5:03:54 AM, you wrote: JS> I have been tasked with identifying suitable anti-trojan-ware for JS> workstations. Ive been looking at AdAware. The problem is that AdAware is not really an anti-trojan tool in the traditional sense of the word and therefore probably not what you are looking for. It will (of late) protect you against a few of the Netbus, Tiny and Subseven variety, but that is not its main focus. Spybot Search and Destroy is another complement to AdAware that is also aimed at protecting you from the same kind of privacy threats. One product I've used for years is 'Trojan Defence Suite' by Diamond software. This is a real anti-trojan tool and very powerful, besides being quite regularly updated. I recommend it highly over AdAware. Ideally you would run it in conjunction with AdAware, though, since one protects you against trojans and the other against privacy compromising spyware. There was also a tool called 'The Cleaner' that was around a couple years ago. I'm not aware if it's still being maintained, but it was good.
