I use Adaware, the free version. Spybot Search & Destroy, also free, and AVG free anti-virus. These combination of tools have done a great job removing unwanted programs from my windows computer. I run weekly scans of Adaware and Spybot S&D. AVG updates and runs daily automatically.Jeff On Wednesday 03 December 2003 04:03 am, Jack Solomon wrote:I have been tasked with identifying suitable anti-trojan-ware for workstations. Ive been looking at AdAware. Its free and seems to do the job. Im wondering what is the catch.? Has anyone done a review of antitrojan sofrware? Id like to know if there is a suitable/cheap/supported product that we can use to compliment sophos that will protect against malicious code, trojans, session hijacking and other web nasties. Thanks Jack
I agree with you jeff! Ad Aware is such a nice software. Im also using it.Here's another software that will also suite your needs. Why not try McAfee AVERT Stinger? It is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when dealing with an infected system. Stinger utilizes next generation scan engine technology, including process scanning, digitally signed DAT files, and scan performance optimizations. Latest version of McAfee AVERT Stinger is v1.9.2 [715,783 bytes]
go to http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/It removes known and latest viruses and trojans. I hope this will help you.
