Speaking of Cisco routers, I just got a Cisco 3000 for my lab.  I'm
going to set some students loose programming it soon.  However, I'd
like to have them look at a model configuration as a screening
"firewall".

The Cisco FTP server contains a nice Perl script that automates some of
the more tedious aspects of generating Cisco access control lists.  The
script also serves as an example of how one screening router was set up.
