What makes you think the ACLU wants to help terrorists? Their national
headquarters are only 4 blocks away from Ground Zero in New York City.

Via MSNBC.

[snip]

The U.S. Senate on Friday rejected attempts to reauthorize several
provisions of the nation's top anti-terror law as infringing too much
on Americans' privacy, dealing a major defeat to President Bush and
Republican leaders.

I guess I'm just a conservative sheep, but I don't see the patriot act as
terribly intrusive on my rights as an American citizen. If the ALCU wants
to create and protect the rights of terrorists, why don't they just say so..

I know the patriot act has caused a massive increase in data capture in
banking transactions and has created a lot of SARBOX controls, but
otherwise, I havent noticed the increase of black helicopters or agent
Smith's walking around..
