Was it almost impossible to make them see it your way? Even with all the
evidence? Open-Source issues being sliently fixed in OSX ports, etc. 

2003 OSS Sendmail flaw was also in OSX -

I had another article that talked about how most OSS groups will patch
the OSS software before Apple patches the issue, therefore giving
attackers the possible attack map to hit Apple.
