Apart from the freedom of speech issues, I wonder if there isn't
also a potential FTC issue: If GM had made each new car owner sign
a license agreement saying they cannot go public with safety issues
relating to their cars, then "Unsafe at Any Speed" might never
have been published.  Similar arguments for pharms and medical
devices.

Hey, if cigarette companies hand invented shrink wrap licenses
back in the 40's, they'd be home free today ...
