For many of us, M$FT already does - little by little, every day. <g> Apart from the freedom of speech issues, I wonder if there isn't also a potential FTC issue: If GM had made each new car owner sign a license agreement saying they cannot go public with safety issues relating to their cars, then "Unsafe at Any Speed" might never have been published. Similar arguments for pharms and medical devices.
