European "privacy guardians"?! Its amazing, three months of these
stories, arrests centering around intelligence finds and still not a
single mention of European intelligence groups...like they're all just
sitting around with their thumbs up their arses or something. What
gives? Surely someone has to eventually ask what Miwhatever is doing,
right?

Perhaps MI[1..6] are content with being quiet and actually *doing* stuff,
while the US TLAs feel the need to *be seen as* doing stuff....

That's an interesting take. It seems to me that the US agencies would
very much like to stay quiet - but they keep getting outed on the
front pages of our newspapers. That has nothing, however, to do with
the question I posed. My question refers to why there are no questions
in the European press, or here in the US for that matter, discussing
what M* is doing - even though they're certainly doing something and
are quite likely to be doing the SAME things as the FBI/CIA/NSA guys
are. Instead the story posted reads like Europe is full of privacy
advocates (who apparently don't mind being on camera every waking
second of the day) and NO intelligence groups!
