Look - what you're calling "evidence" wouldn't be admissible in a
scientific paper, wouldn't be admissible in a court of law, and would only
be admissible in a church.

Don't you think that tells you something?

Tells me something, tells me he can believe - take that leap - in
something bigger than himself, something you are apparently incapable
of, or more likely incapable of admitting to.

I can believe in something bigger than myself. For example, I was on the
Clifton Suspension Bridge a few weeks ago. I believe in that, because I've
seen it, touched it and walked across it. It's definitely bigger than me.
What I don't believe in, is your imaginary friend, no matter how big you
imagine him to be. And if your imaginary friend tells you to go out and
kill unbelievers (or inquisition them, or blow them up, or burn them for
witches, or whatever is the current fashion), then that's what makes you
part of the problem.

Whether that something bigger is the emotion you feel when you are
with loved ones, in prayer or at the pub. There are lots of things
"bigger" than you, and most all of them defy definition. You can write
a scientific paper about it, if you were that kind of bore, but you'll
only succeed in boiling out all of those emotions and feelings,
leaving your audience with a bunch of gobbledygook about chemicals
produced by the body and released into the blood stream. In other
words, they'll have no idea what the hell it is you're talking about.

I suppose I shouldn't be astounded at this evidence for superstition even
on a list such as this. Get a grip on yourself, man!
