Someone is offended someway, somehow, by nearly everything.  Some people 
offend me by consuming valuable oxygen the rest of us could use. ;-)

I agree with you that it's well-done.  (I'm not sure I'd go as far
as "brilliant", but at worst it's a small exaggeration.)

But I also agree with your detractors that it is perpetuative of
sexism and offensive in at least a few ways.
