Nope, just numbers on a page. Besides, according to their statements,
they're analyzing the data as a whole to pick up on patterns - which
wouldn't be specifically looking at YOUR calls. Then again, we don't
really know what they're doing and what they say they're doing doesn't
make much sense to me.

I must respectfully disagree with you, and most importantly
the SCOTUS, on this issue. Tracking who, when, and where I make
telephone calls is constitutionally intrusive, in my opinion.

But they're not tracking shit - they're analyzing it in bulk.

Again, the real crime here is bypassing established legal
processes -- the FISA court -- when obtaining this information,
and in this case, the telcos just handed it over without a whimper
(except for Qwest, who did The Right Thing).

Is it illegal? You might have a lawsuit against your telco for
violating their own privacy policy - but if the government simply
asked for the data and they gave it over, the government has done no
wrong. If they SEIZED the data, that would be another thing. The data
isn't owned by you, its owned by the telco and they can do pretty much
anything they want with it, either give it to the government or to a
telemarketing company - whatever.
